STARQUEST 2007 took place Saturday night May 5th at the State Theatre in Eau Claire WI. It was an entertaining evening with young performers representing many area communities including Menomonie, Chippewa Falls, Oshkosh, Eau Claire and Cumberland. Miss Wisconsin Meghan Coffey was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. The vocal selections ranged from Jazz, to Pop-Opera, to Broadway musical numbers. There were two age catagories, 13 and under and 14 to 20, with 19 finalists total. First and sencond prizes were awarded to winners in the two age catagories.
David Hile a 16 year old from Cumberland won second place in the upper age division with the performance of his original song "Rain".
